Genevieve Frank, a fourth year legislative delegate, and Alex Anderson, a second year delegate, are running as a ticket for Gov and Lt. Gov. Frank is the current chair of Harvey Assembly. Anderson participated in Judicial last year and switched this year to Legislative branch; she is now a delegate in the Harvey Assembly. More specifically, Frank is campaigning for Governor with Anderson as Lieutenant Governor. Their platforms include a “multifaceted approach” with over all improved communication between delegates and leaders. Some changes in their platform include expanding the teen issues forum method. Frank described her role in this as to “help local delegations contact their local policy makers to set up a time for them to come in and discuss local issues and what’s going on,” similar to the Eau Claire issues Forum held this past December. They also would like to implement a leaders summit in the fall “as a time to come together to establish goals and prepare for the year.” Recruitment, which always seems to be a topic for Gubernatorial Debate, was also addressed. Their strategy includes continuing to visit schools, working on recruitment videos, and updating the official website to include links to local delegations. Over all they seemed excited to implement the changes with intent to improve YIG overall.
